I'm sometimes old-school so I would probably use Cool Edit. Has recording controls with a live decibel meter, a loop button for playing a looped selection smoothly and you can drag the selection bit by bit while it's looping to find your right loop spot.
Most other wave editors with the same features should do the trick.
Results?
So what did you use to make the loops? I've got a guitar or two lying around and want to make some samples, any tricks you find useful?
Audacity
Recorded a few with audacity. But I'm starting to wonder if it's worth the effort since it seems I'm never happy with how the recording sounds.
And the two times I did record in the studio it did not sound that kewl either.
I will attempt some more recording in december when I have lots of recording and practice time.
Although I think things will turn out a bit better once I buy myself a Jamlab. I think ASIO will record with less noise and latency.
Most wave editors?
